Before I talk about my experience with this course by Donna Eden and her husband, let me talk about what led me to be interested in Energy Medicine in the first place. Even though Donna Eden has been in practice for four decades, my mom was the first person to introduce me to her work about five years ago.

Medical students are taught to make decisions for patients on the basis of the best available evidence. What they are invariably not taught is that the evidence is often withheld, analysed inappropriately, and presented in a biased fashion. Anyone who has sat through a 9am epidemiology lecture can tell you that evidence-based practice EBP is hard to grasp at the best of times. Having said that, this book is by no means an easy read due to the remarkable volume of information conveyed. This is an energetic and ambitious project, which demonstrates the difficulty of synthesising these two aims. Some may claim this book is too controversial.

I often compare my life to that variety show act in which the performer is spinning several plates on sticks, trying to keep all of them spinning without any crashing to the floor. The performer runs along the plates and devotes some energy to the plates most likely to fall next.
